Two Months...

So, it has been a while since I updated my blog. There is a reason for that, though. Not too much has happened to file under the 'interesting' category, and this blog was not created with the intent to be a total snore fest.

I have had such loving and gracious donors, I feel like this blog should be nothing short of stellar! So, here is where we are in the grand scheme of updates and such.

I leave TWO MONTHS FROM TODAY!

As far as donations to my Joni and Friends account, I have ~$5200 in there! Yay! Thanks so much, Dear Lord, for blessing me with some selfless people!

I am still searching for accessible housing in the second most expensive city in the US, so...it is a challenge to say the very least.

I was able to get a price quote for renting a motorized wheelchair for the duration of my stay. Of course, it would not be EXACTLY like what I am used to, but...my mother taught me at a very young age that "you can do anything for a day," and if I say that to myself daily, the time will be over just as quickly as it began. $250 per month. That is what it will look like for me to rent. I was expecting a much higher number, so...I was thankful for the relatively low price.

Airfare is still RIDICULOUS as far as pricing goes. Sometimes I wish I could mail myself to my destination. It sure would make boarding and de-boarding a lot easier. Southwest is my preferred airline. They are cheapest, with no frills. Something else I like about Southwest? They have these flights where there are stops, but there is no plane change! That is what dreams are made of when it comes to mobility issues and boarding/deboarding!

I am currently on the hunt for a good-hearted individual who probaby has skymiles he/she is not using. That would help me a lot, for sure. It seems the things that would help me most...don't seem to share my availability.

For those of you reading this, if you know of anyone with any sort of connections to people with skymiles, kindly let me know. If you know someone who would much rather make their tax deducticle donation via purchasing a plane ticket for yours truly, that would me most appreciated. :)

Stay tuned, gang! Plenty of updates are still to come!
