Perfect timing...

I am so thankful for my mama. I am thankful for her for so many reasons. I would not be where I am without her. Her greatest gift that she has given me, however, is the knowledge of who Jesus Christ is. I go to Him in prayer several times throughout the day. It may not be the most eloquent prayer, and quite often times it might just be three words: "Lord, Jesus, HELP!"

Since this journey began, I began praying that my every need would be met, and that I would not be anxious.

I have had several people in my path the last few months who have been less than supportive, and that has hurt me more than my words can express. Support raising has been hard, it is anything but fun, and it has definitely made me see just what a challenge it is to keep requesting money from people when, quite honestly, you don't want to ask another living soul.

I had a conversation with someone recently, who basically was trying so hard to discourage me from embarking on this journey, and said that I should strive to stay within my city limits. I took great offense to this. I can do and go anywhere anyone else can, especially if God is leading me.

I got off the phone, and for a brief moment, I felt so defeated. I haven't been able to understand why people haven't been emotionally supportive of me in this. I was praying about it this afternoon, and I really decided that you know what? I don't need everyone behind me in this. If God is behind me in this, then everything else will kind of take care of itself.

Earlier tonight, a dear friend of mine sent me a text message that rendered me speechless. "The Lord has heard your prayers! My friend, who is a Southwest pilot, has said that he will handle your flight...including cost and connections! Stay tuned.  :) God is gracious beyond our wildest dreams!" Upon reading this text, tears streamed down my face. I am definitely in the palm of God's hand, and I am so thankful for every single blessing that continues to trickle down.

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." Philippians 4:6 <>t<

Praise God from whom all blessings flow! I am California bound!
