So, when I finally read Joni Earekson's biography, I was profoundly effected. That following Easter, I received an exciting surprise in my Easter basket. I now had her story on video! Her story became even more real to me. I got to truly see her struggles with the question I found myself wondering a lot. "Why did God allow me to be in this chair?" and then there was a closing remark that Joni made in that movie that still resonates with me today: "I would rather be in my chair with Jesus, than on my feet without Him!" It was after that, that I really started reading just about everything Joni wrote...
