White flags, green lights, big smiles. Oh, my!

So, the last few weeks have been a real challenge. To quote my good, sweet, friend, Amy Hudson, "Living in a hotel for an extended amount of time under normal circumstances is hell. With circumstances that you have been given? Yeah, I cannot even imagine." You said it, Ames.

My mom raised me that I can do anything for a day. That is exactly what I had been doing since arriving in California on August 20. The Sheraton is a nice hotel. Nice staff. But, in all honesty? The rooms? very, VERY cramped. I finally waved the white flag, complete with a tearful confession that I just could not live in that room anymore.

So, here I am. New hotel. Neighboring city. So far? This room is SO much more spacious. I am thankful. My new home for the next three weeks? Hampton Inn in Thousand Oaks. :) If anyone is curious, e-mail me for the address. I can receive mail here, too!

In other news, I have been blogging for Joni and Friends' Kids' Corner blog, and my first post is up! If anyone is interested, you can read all about it here.

I am drafting several blog posts for the wee ones, as well as "FAQs" for the website. Who knew coming up with questions and answers could be such a challenge, but...so far, Rebecca is pleased, and is giving me the green light. Woohoo!

Not only is Rebecca pleased, but Joni is, too. That makes me smile really big. :)
